Hi there! Welcome to my website.

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in the David lab at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Prior to joining OHSU, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Sadagopan lab (University of Pittsburgh) and as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Heinz lab at Purdue University. I received my PhD degree from the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University and BTech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India

My research interests include understanding the processing of complex stimuli (e.g., human speech and animal vocalization) by the auditory system. Currently, I am using animal models, neurophysiology, and modern computational tools to understand such processing. During my PhD, I used neurophysiological and electrophysiological tools in the chinchilla animal model to elucidate the neural correlates for various perceptual deficits experienced by patients with sensorineural hearing loss.
